Problem

The site was experiencing low customer engagement and failing to gain traction in the market, so I was hired as a UX Consultant to assess the usability of the site and recommend solutions.

Process

I met with all stakeholders to determine the vision, direction, function and target market. I used heuristics analysis to QA test the site for various user roles; identified significant usability issues; and presented alternatives and fixes to improve consistency and enhance functionality. I also conducted competitor analysis to define and enhance the site's strengths. By drilling down into the client’s mission, I helped narrow the target audience and suggested modifications to focus the site to appropriate users.
